Production process of glass furniture
1) Preparation of glass raw materials According to design requirements, technological level, glass composition, performance requirements, price and other factors, the glass main material and auxiliary raw materials are reasonably prepared to obtain raw materials that meet the requirements.
2) Melting Before forming, the raw materials need to be melted at high temperature to form a uniform glass liquid without bubbles.
3) Molding process Select the appropriate molding process to process the molten glass into the required shape and size.
4) Heat treatment After the glass product is formed, heat treatment is generally required to homogenize the internal structure and remove thermal stress, so as to avoid glass cracking and uneven optical properties. The heat treatment of glass products generally includes two processes of annealing and quenching. Annealing is a heat treatment process that eliminates or reduces the thermal stress in glass products to the allowable value. Quenching is to form a regular and evenly distributed pressure layer on the glass surface to improve the mechanical strength and thermal stability of glass products.
5) Secondary processing After forming, glass products need to be further processed to meet the requirements. Three methods of cold processing, thermal processing and surface treatment are often used.
① Cold processing refers to the process of changing the shape and surface state of glass products by mechanical means at room temperature. The basic methods of cold working include grinding, polishing, cutting, sandblasting, drilling and cutting, etc.
Grinding and polishing. The operation process of making the product go through coarse abrasive grinding, fine abrasive grinding, and polishing with polishing material can remove the roughness on the product or the remaining part during molding to achieve the required shape and size, so that the product is smooth and transparent , flat surface.
Cutting, sandblasting and drilling. Cutting is to use the characteristics of brittleness and residual stress of glass products to cause stress concentration in the part to be cut, making it easy to break. Using diamond, silicon carbide, alloy knives or other tough tools to saw and score the surface, applying flames at the cutting site, local heating and then chilling of electric heating wires can break the glass.
sandblasting. Using the high-speed airflow with fine-grained quartz sand or corundum, the surface of the glass product is impacted by the sand particles to form the required surface, such as patterns, and this method can also be used to drill holes.
car engraved. Use a grinding wheel to carve patterns on the surface of glass products.
drilling. Use cemented carbide drills, ultrasonic waves and other methods to open holes in glass products.
② Thermal processing There are many glass products with complex shapes and special requirements, which need to be finalized by thermal processing. In addition, thermal processing is also used to improve the performance and appearance quality of products. The main methods of thermal processing are: burning of sharp edges after cutting, fire polishing, flame cutting and drilling.
③Surface treatment The surface treatment of glass is the treatment to obtain the required surface effect after glass molding, including surface coloring and surface coating of glass products, as well as the formation of smooth surface and astigmatism surface, such as chemical etching of container glass, Glass chemical polishing, etc.
etch. Apply a protective layer such as paraffin wax on the glass surface and engrave a pattern on it, and then use the corrosion effect of chemicals to etch the exposed part, and then remove the protective layer to obtain the desired pattern. Decoration. Decorate the glass surface with colored glazes. Commonly used color decoration methods are: drawing, painting directly with a pen dipped in glaze; spraying, first making a hollow pattern of the desired pattern, sticking it to the surface of the glass product, and then spraying the glaze with a spray gun; decals, using color The glaze is used to print the desired pattern on special paper, and then paste the decal paper on the surface of the product; for printing, screen printing is used to print the pattern on the surface of the product with glaze.
6) Packaging After the processing is completed, put the glass products into the warehouse.
